Description

Spellbound (United Artists, 1945). One Sheet (27" X 41"). No other director captured the "psychological melodrama" genre as perfectly as Alfred Hitchcock did. With "Spellbound," the director hit a new level in depicting mental problems when he hired surrealist Salvador Dali to create the famous dream sequence. This impressive poster features one of the film's highlights as Gregory Peck, in a schizophrenic state, embraces Ingrid Bergman, while holding an open straight razor. One sheets for this film rarely turn up in this condition, as their black backgrounds are easily damaged. This poster had one area in the top horizontal fold near the right border where there was some bug nibbling. It has been beautifully restored. Very Fine on Linen.
