Description

Rope (Warner Brothers, 1948). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Adapted from the stage play by Patrick Hamilton, Rope proved to be one of director Alfred Hitchcock's most experimental films, as it was his first in color and filmed with long takes expertly edited together to look like one. Farley Granger and John Dall play a pair of amoral students who murder a classmate for fun, hide the body in a chest, and stage a dinner party with professor James Stewart in attendance. Prior to restoration, the poster had a chip in the top border, and a chip in the lower left and upper right corners. Professional restoration has addressed these issues, and the borders have been airbrushed. Fine- on Linen.
