Description

Rebecca (United Artists, 1940). Photo 11" X 14"). Hitchcock.
Vintage gelatin silver, single weight, glossy photo of Joan Fontaine and Judith Anderson. It's one of the most chilling moments from any Alfred Hitchcock film when Judith Anderson whispers to Joan Fontaine..."Look down there, it would be easy, isn't it? Why don't you? Why don't you? Go on...go on...don't be afraid..." Starring Laurence Olivier, Joan Fontaine, Judith Anderson, George Sanders, Nigel Bruce, Reginald Denny, C. Aubrey Smith, Gladys Cooper, Florence Bates, Melville Cooper, Leo G. Carroll, Leonard Carey, Lumsden Hare, Edward Fielding, Forrester Harvey, Philip Winter, Alfred Hitchcock. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. An unrestored photo with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge wear with small tears repaired with clear tape on the verso, minor stains, a faint large circular crease around the actors, surface scuffs and small paper lift, and mild corner bumps and creases. There is a vintage newspaper clipping with a humorous paraphrase of the Anderson speech attached to the verso. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine-.
