Description

Rebecca (United Artists, 1940). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Alfred Hitchcock's first American-made film, and the only one to win a Best Picture Oscar, Rebecca tells the tale of a man (Laurence Olivier) haunted by the death of his first wife, and the toll it takes on his second (Joan Fontaine). The excellent supporting cast includes Judith Anderson (as the cruel housekeeper), George Sanders, and Nigel Bruce. This rare poster has great images of Olivier and Fontaine, and gorgeous color. Professional restoration has addressed fold wear and separation, pinholes, and small tears. There are a few chips in the borders, and touchup has been applied beneath Fontaine's nose. The borders have been airbrushed.
