    Description

Rebecca (Generalcine, 1941). Fine on Linen. Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 77") Ghedini Artwork.
Offered by Heritage for the first time is this gorgeous Italian poster with beautiful renderings of the film's lead stars by artist Ghedini. Alfred Hitchcock's first American film for producer David O. Selznick emerged as a classic in the master's oeuvre and went on to win the Best Picture of the Year Academy Award. Joan Fontaine plays the new wife of a brooding widower (Laurence Olivier), but finds that his household staff, and even her husband, can't seem to let the first Mrs. de Winter go. This lovely poster has benefitted from professional restoration to edge and fold wear, fold separations, pinholes, and tears into the interior, including one into Joan Fontaine's lip and a couple into Laurence Olivier's hat. Also addressed were creases, misfolds, as well as chips and some paper loss in the borders. There are some faint stains that are still slightly visible in the lower image. The borders and parts of the distributor logo have been airbrushed.
