Description
Rear Window (Paramount, 1954). Very Fine on Linen. Three Sheet (41" X 80").Recovering from a broken leg, photographer Jeff Jefferies is confined to a wheelchair in his New York apartment. Bored and restless, he begins watching his neighbors from his rear window, but what starts as casual people-watching turns sinister when he suspects that one neighbor, Lars Thorwald, has murdered his wife. With the help of his girlfriend Lisa and nurse Stella, Jeff tries to gather evidence. As they dig deeper, the line between observer and participant blurs, leading to a suspenseful climax where the voyeur becomes the target. Widely considered one of the greatest thrillers ever made, it was nominated for 4 Academy Awards, including Best Director and Best Screenplay. This fantastic poster has been backed to linen, with expert restoration addressing minor fold wear and small splits, a chip at the center fold junction and a chip to the right border. The poster presents very well and will be a glorious addition to any collection. Please note that there is glue around the edges of the linen on the verso, but it does not impact the recto of the linen or the poster in any manner.
