Alfred Hitchcock ratcheted up his suspense meter with this thriller starring James Stewart as a neighbor-obsessed voyeur -- he's a wheelchair-bound photographer who peeps in on his fellow apartment dwellers. Is it just his lively imagination, or has he really witnessed a murder from his perch at the window? Wanting to solve the crime, Stewart is lucky enough to get some assistance from his society model girlfriend, played by a luminous Grace Kelly. Filmed entirely on an elaborate set, which gave Hitchcock complete mastery over the environment, this is a triumph of paranoia and suspense, with a superb performance by Stewart. This impressive three sheet has the perfect curiosity stirring imagery, complete with Stewart clutching an oversized pair of binoculars! Prior to restoration, the piece showed only pinholes in the corners and fold wear, and otherwise is in fantastic, display-ready condition. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
