One of the reasons Alfred Hitchcock was such a great director is that he understood, and wasn't afraid to film, the complex layers of his characters. The "why" of James Stewart's voyeurism leads to one of the best psychological examinations of a screen character ever seen. This style A half sheet shows Stewart clutching over-sized binoculars, with girlfriend Grace Kelly just over his shoulder, being drawn into the intrigue. The poster shows a top left corner bend, a tear in the left and top border with paper tape on the verso, smudging in the credits, a small paint splatter in the top background, edge wear, and pinholes in the borders and one in the background. This half sheet is a staple in any Hitchcock poster collection. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
