Description
Rear Window (Paramount, 1954). Folded, Very Fine. One Sheet (27" X 41").Masterfully woven together with thrills, suspense, and taboo, this Oscar-nominated mystery counts as one of the highest points in Alfred Hitchcock's esteemed career. A longtime favorite actor of Hitchcock's, James Stewart expertly plays the immobilized lead character, whose nearly obsessive spying uncovers a possible murder in the neighboring apartment building. Most poignantly, his voyeurism acts as a dark reflection to that of the audiences', as they avidly watch the events unfolding on screen but are unable to act. The film also proves to be a sustained glimpse into the mind of Hitchcock himself, whose trade revolves around the constant observation of others, as well as the darkest parts of their nature. A leading poster among Hitchcock fans, this one sheet has fold wear and light edge wear, colored pencil writing on the back.
