All the stars aligned properly for this suspenseful production, from the taut direction by Alfred Hitchcock, a memorable and evocative score by Bernard Hermann, to its masterful building of suspense, this horror classic left audience members shaking in their seats. Much credit goes to the film's exceptional cast, headed by stars Janet Leigh (as Marion Crane) and Anthony Perkins, who creates one of the most terrifying monsters in the history of film, the tortured Norman Bates. Not surprisingly, paper from this picture is highly prized by collectors, with this three sheet always being a popular item. Professional touchup has been applied to the folds with a few small crossfold chips, some ink stamp bleedthrough in the upper left border, and a tear from the top border that extends slightly into Anthony Perkins' head.
