    Psycho (Paramount, 1960). Fine/Very Fine on Paper. Poster (40" X 60").
A masterpiece of psychological horror, Psycho is one of the most terrifying motion pictures ever brought to the silver screen. This poster is making its debut appearance at Heritage and is a highly sought-after title for poster collectors. Based on a story by famed horror writer Robert Bloch, this film ranks among the finest of director Alfred Hitchcock's brilliant career. Joseph Stefano (who later created The Outer Limits TV series) wrote a screenplay that took moviegoers on a roller coaster ride of emotions, while Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh played roles that defined their careers.
Professional restoration has been applied to correct creases, a few pinholes, and a couple of tears. The borders and a bit of the blue background have been airbrushed. Still visible is mild toning and faint stains. These 40" X 60" formats are some of the rarest posters from the film's American release and this is a poster presents an opportunity collectors will not want to miss.

    Estimate: $4,000 - $8,000.
