Description
North by Northwest (MGM, R-1966). Fine+ on Linen. Poster (40" X 60").Heritage has only once before, over a decade ago, offered the 1966 40" X 60" for Hitchcock's cross-country spy thriller. The film remains one of the master of suspense's most enduring classics, and material from this US release has maintained greater popularity than most paper from the original release. This is due, in large part, to superior design and incorporation of the most iconic elements from the film, such as Mt. Rushmore (here depicted to include Hitchcock, himself, amongst the luminaries) and the crop duster in the cornfield sequence. Backed to linen, the poster received spot touchup to a 3.5" tear in the top border, pin holes, spot stains, a spot of paper loss in the image. There is some creasing on the edges and along the bottom margins. The poster presents well.
