Description
North by Northwest (MGM, 1959). Poster (30" X 40").North by Northwest is Alfred Hitchcock's clever tale of an advertising executive (Cary Grant) mistaken for a dangerous international spy and pursued cross country. Eva Marie Saint stars as the mysterious blond who helps him unravel the truth behind the enigmatic chase. While this 30 X 40 uses the same Saul Bass design as the one sheet, it is decidedly different as it is in full color, not duotone. The poster has airbrushed borders, pinholes in the background, an enlarged pinhole in the top left, a chip at the top right, bottom left corner bend, and the left and right borders were previously folded back. Professional restoration has the poster displaying quite well. Hitch fans won't want to miss by far one of the best and most elusive posters from the original release of the film. Fine+ on Paper.
