Description
North by Northwest (MGM, 1959). Fine- on Linen. Poster (30" X 40").This is master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock's clever tale of an advertising executive (Cary Grant) mistaken for a dangerous international spy and pursued cross country. Eva Marie Saint stars as the mysterious blond who helps him unravel the truth behind the enigmatic chase. While this 30 X 40 uses the same design as the one sheet, it is decidedly different as it is in full color, not duotone. Restoration has addressed wear at a horizontal fold and the edges, creasing, small tears, as well as minor chips at the edges. Some of these issues are still visible post-restoration, and there are post-restoration smudges. There were horizontal tears from the left border into Cary Grant's ankle with minor chipping, all of which is mirrored at the top extending from the left border through James Mason and Eva Marie Saint's credits. The borders and yellow background have been airbrushed. Fine- on Linen.
