Description

Dial M for Murder (Warner Brothers, 1954). Three Sheet (41.25" X 79").
Alfred Hitchcock directed this thriller about a former tennis pro that comes up with a plot to kill his wife for money, as a way of getting back at her for having an affair. Ray Milland plays the lead, with the lovely Grace Kelly as his ill-fated wife. The film was adapted from a play by the talented Frederick Knott, who also wrote Wait Until Dark, which starred Audrey Hepburn, in 1967. This is scintillating classic Hitchcock, with a three sheet design to match -- Kelly's desperate, outstretched arm reaches for a dangling phone as she struggles under the weight of her assailant. Murderous red hues fill the poster, one of the very best from Hitchcock's films. Touchup to the folds with small tears and one crossfold chip, a tear and two small chips in the top left corner, additional chips in th top border, and a chip and a tear in the left border where the two sections join. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
