Released three months before Rear Window, this was Hitchcock's first collaboration with then-muse Grace Kelly. In the film, husband Ray Milland plots to kill Kelly, his wealthy wife, to take ownership of her inheritance and right his own financial ship. The result is a classic, darkly comedic thriller, though some have argued that anyone wanting to terminate a romantic relationship with the Grace Kelly of this era is patently unrealistic. The poster image, full of action and intrigue, depicts a pivotal scene from the film. Backed to linen, the poster exhibits retouching to the folds and spot paper loss at lower right.
