Description

Alfred Hitchcock's "The Mountain Eagle" (Wardour Films, 1926). German Keybook Photos (2) (8" X 10").
Filmed in Bavaria, but set in the Kentucky hills, this now-lost romantic thriller is only the second of legendary director Alfred Hitchcock's many pictures. Hitchcock is said to have considered this work "awful" and that he was not sorry prints of the film are non-existent. With so few original items from the film to be found, this lot of two German, country of origin, vintage, sepia toned, double weight, matte photos will be highly prized by Hitchcock enthusiasts. One photo has a studio stamp on the verso, one has a small gouge, and both have punch holes in the top. Very Fine-.
