Alfred Hitchcock Classics Set (Universal, 1983). Invitations (3) (5.75" X 9.25") and Reprint Photos (6) (9" X 12"). Hitchcock.
Featured in this lot are three invitations to screenings of classic Hitchcock films by Universal Studios, complete with the famous Hitchcock profile drawing embossed on the front. These films, Rope (Warner Bros., 1948), Rear Window (Paramount, 1954), and Vertigo (Paramount, 1958), are three of the five "lost" films, whose rights were held by Hitchcock himself. The 1983 screenings marked the first time these films had been legally shown since the great director pulled them from circulation in the 1960s. Also included are two identical photos from each film, making a total of six black and white, single weight, glossy finish photos. Unrestored items with bright color and clean overall appearances.
