Description

Hit Him Again (Pathe Exchange, R-1920s). One Sheet (27.25" X 41").
Silent film's "third genius" - after Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin - was Harold Lloyd, who stars in Hit Him Again, a film now presumed lost. Labeled as "The King of Daredevil Comedy," Lloyd is best remembered by many fans as the young man dangling desperately from a clock tower in the 1923 classic Safety Last. Athletic and spontaneous, Lloyd performed his comedic daredevil stunts with grace and ease. A Heritage first, this fantastic stone litho one sheet features the comedic hero in his trademark round spectacles reading up on how to survive a boxing match. Bebe Daniels and Snub Pollard join in the fun. The borders have been airbrushed and display a slightly shiny finish. Touchup has been applied to a chip and tear in the top right corner, a chip, tears and pinholes in the right border, two chips and two holes in the left border, several tears in the upper right quadrant, a visible tape stain near the bottom border, and a small hole in the bottom background and one in the ice bucket, small hole in the face of one of the audience members, and a chip in the top crossfold. Fine on Linen.
