    Description

    "The Egyptian" Charles LeMaire Costume Design Lot (20th Century Fox, 1954). Costume and Star Portrait Sketches (One Autographed) (4) (14' X 20") (15" X 20") (11' X 14") and (8" X 11"). Historical Drama.
This unique lot includes an original Charles Le Maire costume design for The Egyptian (20th Century Fox, 1954). Mr. Le Maire was one of the best designers in Hollywood and began with the Ziegfeld Follies in the 1920s. He designed nearly 300 films, earning four Oscars and 12 additional nominations! The lot also contains a Donald Pearce signed design for an unknown production, and two color sketches signed by Bra H., one for Ingrid Bergman and a sketch of Alice Faye which she has autographed. Unrestored sketches with bright color and a clean overall appearance. They may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, mild corner bumps and creases, small tape residue and handwritten notes on the verso. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Signed: "Alice Faye." Very Fine.
