    Description

His Hidden Purpose (Paramount, 1918). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. One Sheet (28" X 42").
Chester Conklin and Marie Prevost make a charming pair on this stone litho one sheet from the silent comedy His Hidden Purpose. Conklin, who first gained fame working for Mack Sennett in the Keystone Kops shorts, went on to starring comedic roles in the 1920s, and appeared in films until 1966. Marie Prevost began as a Sennett "Bathing Beauty" in 1917 and went on to have top billing in a series of silent films throughout the 1920s. This stone litho one sheet shows edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, mild creasing, and pinholes, some of which are torn. There are a few moderate tears, dust shadows, small paper lifts, as well as minor chips. Also present is mild smudging, unobtrusive staining, and soft surface rippling. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
