DescriptionHigh Noon (United Artists, 1952). Rolled, Fine+. Insert (14" X 36").
Many collectors feel this insert features one of the most iconic Western images -- the camera looks between the legs of the killer as Gary Cooper prepares to draw his pistols. Cooper stars as a lawman preparing to retire and get married on the same day, but he must also deal with the news that a man he sent to prison has been released and is coming back on the noon train to kill him. The ever-lovely Grace Kelly co-stars as his conflicted pacifist bride. Signs of use include edge wear with small tears, creases, smudging, and a surface scratch at the bottom. There is a tear at the top into the upper image, and a tear from the right border into the background. The poster has plastic and paper tape on the verso, which shows through a minor chip in the right border. Rolled, Fine+.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
