DescriptionHell Harbor (United Artists, 1930). Fine+ on Paper. Insert (14" X 36").
A first time offering from Heritage, this insert features Lupe Velez as Anita Morgan, a young woman living on a remote Caribbean island, but dreaming of a life in Havana. When she discovers her father Henry Morgan (Gibson Gowland)intends for her to be chattel in his scheme to marry her off to the slimy Joseph Horngold (Jean Hersholt), Anita is in desperate need of rescue. The hero materializes as shipwrecked American sailor Bob Wade (John Holland), whose presence on the island incites a riot. Professionally restored, repairs have addressed edge and fold wear, fold separations, pinholes, and tears into the interior. Also corrected were several small chips, one of which has been reattached, as well as some paper loss in the lower left. The borders have been partially airbrushed.
Estimate: $400 - $800.
