    Description

    Gun Law (Universal, 1919). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Director John "Jack" Ford was 25 years old when he directed this Western short early in his career. Ford would make 14 films with actor Hoot Gibson, though the first several would feature Gibson in supporting roles and would star his wife, Helen, as seen on the credits of this poster. Pictured facing off against the star Pete Morrison, Gibson seems to be explaining his point of view. We have never seen this poster nor do we know of it ever being offered in auction before. Professional restoration has addressed fold wear and some fold separations, tearing, chipping, and small holes in the interior. There was a .5" trim along the side and bottom borders, and the borders have been airbrushed. Very Good/Fine on Linen.
