Description

Graven Images by Ronald V. Borst (Grove Press, 1992). Autographed Hardcover Book (240 Pages, 9.25" X 12.25" X .75"). Horror.
Longtime movie memorabilia collector Ronald V. Borst dives into the best of Horror, Fantasy, and Science Fiction poster artwork from the early teens of the 20th Century to the 1960s, with introductions to each chapter by the likes of Stephen King, Robert Bloch, Harlan Ellison, Ray Bradbury, Peter Straub, Forrest J. Ackerman, and Clive Barker (all of which have also signed the first page). Each have fond memories of that time and how it affected them as fans. The author and his wife, and the books's editors Keith Burns and Leith Adams, have also signed the page. This amazing book is also autographed throughout by some of the actors/directors/special effects supervisors of these highly influential films. Autographs in the rest of the book include Ray Harryhausen, Val Guest, Janet Leigh, Yvonne Monlaur, Hazel Court, Richard Matheson, Kevin McCarthy, Pat Hitchcock, Dolores Fuller, Yvette Vickers, Roger Corman, Barbara Shelley, Francis Matthews, Rex Reason, Anne Francis, Julie Adams, Robert Wise, Lucille Lund, Susanna Foster, Maila Nurmi (Vampira), William Schallert, Billy Gray, Ann Robinson, Donnie Dunagan, Elena Verdugo, Kathleen Crowley, Gary Conway, Samuel Z. Arkoff, Richard Matheson, Veronica Carlson, Peggy Moran, Jane Adams, Jimmy Hunt, Kathleen Hughes, Freddie Francis, Yolande Donlan, Karolyn Grimes, Lori Nelson, Paul Picerni, Ricou Browning, Linda Harrison, Jim Danforth, Nathan Juran, Mala Powers, Bert I. Gordon, Jonathan Haze, Candace Hilligoss, Jimmy Sangster, Curtis Harrington, Carla Laemmle, and Famous Monsters cover illustrator Basil Gogos. An unrestored hardcover book with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge and spine wear, and very unobtrusive stains. The dustjacket is in excellent condition as well. Very Fine+.
