    Description

    Godzilla (Trans World, 1956). One Sheet (27" X 41").
The unstoppable titan of terror, Godzilla, captured immediate world wide attention, spawning legions of sequels, spinoffs, and imitators, beginning with this sensational sci-fi classic directed by Ishiro Honda. The story centers on the unusual and deadly events on Odo Island, where radiation and atomic explosions has awakened a prehistoric monster, hungry for humans. Raymond Burr stars alongside Akira Takarada, Fuyuki Murakami, and Takashi Shimura. Toho licensed Gojira to Trans World, who re-edited the picture, incorporating newly-shot scenes with Burr as newspaper reporter Steve Martin, and renamed it Godzilla, King of the Monsters. Offered here is the incredibly popular American release one sheet which is in excellent condition with a light stain at the bottom, two wrinkles, and a minor fold separation. This great image of the King of the Monsters should not be missed. Very Fine.
