    Description

Go West (MGM, 1949). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. First Post-War Release Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 78"). Al Hirschfeld Artwork.
Much like any of their other productions, Go West was a solid comedy for the Marx Brothers, offering plenty in the way of wild action and jokes. With legendary funnyman Buster Keaton on hand to help write the gags, this film is exactly the kind of zany, madcap romp you would expect from dropping the Marx Brothers into the Old West. Staying true to his signature character, Groucho plays a wily con man headed westward to make a not-so-honest buck. Of course, things go awry when he gets swindled out of his last ten dollars by Harpo and Chico, who turn out to be even bigger shysters than him! With the same Al Hirschfeld artwork iconic to the US campaign, this vibrant poster received professional restoration to address edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, pinholes, and some chipping in the top and bottom edges of the upper panel. The lower horizontal fold has received touchup for paper loss on the verso, and the poster had a few moderate tears. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
