DescriptionGentlemen Prefer Blondes (20th Century Fox, 1953). Very Fine+ on Linen. British Quad (30" X 40").
Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe are nothing shy of stunning on this beautiful British quad. Based on a Broadway show, director Howard Hawks decided to cast both Monroe and Russell while they were at the top of their popularity. The question of whether it is better to marry for love or money is addressed in what has become one of the most successful musicals ever. Linen-backed with no touchup applied, this British quad shows only the slightest edge wear at the top, light creases, and a minute tear. The linen has been trimmed to the borders. Very Fine+ on Linen.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
