    Description

    Frankenstein (Universal, R-1938). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
This Universal horror classic from director James Whale scared the nation in its 1931 release - so they decided to do it again in 1938. The film, which had made an instant star of 44-year-old Boris Karloff, introduced a whole new generation to Mary Shelly's classic Monster seven years later. There are pinholes in the upper corners and image background, and in the creature's hand. There are two small tears in the right border, stains in the right border, the "A" in the title, and lower image into the lower border, as well as a very minor paper lift in the upper right corner, and a smudge in the upper border. The verso has some paint that does not bleed through. Fine/Very Fine.
