    Description

    Frankenstein (Universal International, R-1950s). Full-Bleed German A1 (23.5" X 33.25") Bruno Rehak Artwork.
Universal's Frankenstein is considered the greatest horror film of all time. This 86-year-old gothic horror film was produced for a sum of $291,000 at the height of the Depression, made a star of a forty-four-year-old Boris Karloff, and made Universal Studios some twelve million dollars richer. It became an almost instant classic of a new genre -- the horror movie -- and is viewed today as one of the true classics of world cinema. Featuring outstanding artwork courtesy of Bruno Rehak, this dramatic piece has had touchup repair to the folds, pinholes towards the edges, thin creases, and minor edge tears. There were two mirrored vertical tears at the center crossfold prior to restoration, which has now made the poster look fantastic. Very Fine- on Linen.
