    Description

Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (Universal, 1943). Lobby Card (11" X 14") Karl Godwin Artwork. Horror.
It was supposed to be the sequel to The Ghost of Frankenstein but it became much more than that. It was also the sequel to The Wolf Man and the first of the Universal monster films to combine two monsters in one movie. And since Lon Chaney Jr. couldn't be both the Wolf Man and the Monster, Bela Lugosi (the studios original choice for the Monster before Karloff was cast), took on the iconic role. As such, some of the scenes were too strenuous for him at sixty years of age and stuntman Eddie Parker filled in the Monster's giant shoes. In this scene, the Monster carries off his latest prize, Ilona Massey. The card has bold colors and shows slight edge wear, pinholes, and a small bit of writing in the upper left corner. There is paper tape on the verso. Very Fine-.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
