Description

Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (Realart, R-1949). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Today it seems like an obvious idea: If one monster is good, two will be even better! Thus was born this film, the first team-up of two of Universal's Titans of Terror! With Bela Lugosi as the Frankenstein Monster (the role he had turned down years before) and Lon Chaney Jr. as Larry Talbot, the Wolf Man, this film was a sensation, reinvigorating the entire franchise and leading to such fine productions as House of Frankenstein and House of Dracula, which also featured multiple monsters. This exciting title card has pinholes in the borders, corners, and image area, edge wear, corner bumps, two tears in the top border, and a small tear in the right border. In spite of these minor flaws, this is still a very attractive and desirable piece from an incredibly hot genre. Don't let this one get away! Fine.
