    Description

    Fort Apache (RKO, 1948). British Quad (30" X 40").
Loosely based on Custer's last stand, the first installment in John Ford's "Cavalry Trilogy" found the veteran war captain, John Wayne, clashing with an arrogant incoming commander (Henry Fonda) over the handling of the Native Americans on the post-Civil War frontier. Shirley Temple, along with her then-husband, John Agar, also co-star in this classic Western film. This colorful poster features awe-inspiring artwork of the battle between the military and the Native Americans and is only the second British quad from the film to be presented by Heritage. Touchup to the folds, a chip in the top border into the background, pinholes in the borders/background, a chip in the bottom border/background, and a tear in the bottom right corner/background. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
