Yojimbo (Toho, 1961). Japanese B3 (14" X 20").
Based on Dashiell Hammett's detective novel Red Harvest, this film's story was lifted virtually intact and remade as A Fistful of Dollars, the first in director Sergio Leone's "Dollars" trilogy. In fact, director Akira Kurosawa successfully sued Leone for copyright infringement, and was awarded 15% of the Spaghetti Western's worldwide gross. Original country-of-origin paper from this title is scarce. The upper and lower edges of this colorful poster have been trimmed; there is paper tape along the upper edge with some small tears, and there is writing at the lower edge. Folded, Fine+.
