    Description

Tsar Nicholas II, Autocrat of All Russia (1917). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Russian Poster (42" X 55.5").
It's Heritage's first time to offer any paper from this picture, the only pre-Revolution propaganda film to be endorsed by Vladimir Lenin himself. Released merely three days before the start of the October Revolution, this movie was made of five acts depicting Tsar Nicholas II at his worst, with such titles as "Part 1: The King of the Peasants," "Part 2: The King of the Workers," "Part 3: The King - The Guardian of the Youth," "Part 4: The Tsar - Father of his Subjects," and "Part 5: The King is a Just and Merciful Judge." The stone litho image is striking, to say the least, and this country of origin poster has partial touchup to the folds, pinholes, some tears, and a couple of chips.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
