    Description

The Vengeance of the Vampire Women by Emerio (Tusisa, 1970). Very Fine. Signed Original Spanish Mixed Media Poster Artwork on Illustration Board (13.5" X 19.5").
    .
An illustration true to its title, this gruesome, country of origin poster painting has been signed by its artist, Emerio, and is a first-time offering at Heritage Auctions. As one of the biggest sports stars and celebrities Mexico has ever produced, luchador El Santo became a legend in the world of Mexican wrestling whose legacy expanded into numerous movies starring the masked athlete. With fifty-three acting credits to his name, this horror/wrestling flick comes in the middle of El Santo's twenty year acting career and the height of his popularity. A well preserved piece, this illustration has few signs of handling, including slight edge wear, minor corner bumps, as well as a few unobtrusive stains. There is a protective sheet of paper attached to the top of the verso with a couple of pieces of plastic tape.
