The Seven Samurai (Toho, 1954). Japanese Roadshow B3 (17.5" X 25") Regional Style. Foreign.
Offered here is a country of origin B3 poster from the film's original Roadshow release. Starring Takashi Shimura, Toshiro Mifune, Yoshio Inaba, Seiji Miyaguchi, Minoru Chiaki, Daisuke Kato, Isao Kimura. Directed by Akira Kurosawa. This poster was issued for the Kansai area, which is Osaka, as often separate posters were issued for different regions. Original paper from Akira Kurosawa's movies is extremely scarce, perhaps none more so than this exceedingly rare "roadshow" style. This particular example shows edge wear, small punch in the top center, and minor surface crinkles, but is in superb condition overall, without any writing in the white area, which would typically display the theater name.
