The Bad Sleep Well (Toho, 1960). Folded, Very Fine. Japanese B2 (20" X 28.5").
Sold only once preciously nearly ten years ago, Heritage is thrilled to once again present this Japanese B2 for The Bad Sleep Well. A searing critique of postwar corporate corruption told through a gripping tale of revenge, Akira Kurosawa's film blends Shakespearean overtones with noir-inflected style, helmed by his frequent collaborator, Toshiro Mifune, in a powerhouse performance that underscores the filmmaker's mastery of his medium. This country-of-origin poster shows only a few imperfections, including light edge, corner, and fold wear, slight creases/dimpling, some fold separation, and a small tear within the bottom left image. Additionally, there is a strip of archival tape on the verso bracing the lower fold separation.
