    Description

Soviet Propaganda (1980). Rolled, Very Fine+. Soviet Union Poster (77.5" X 38.5") E. Aruranyan Artwork. Foreign.
Featuring an image of Vladamir Ulyanov, better known as Lenin, this poster advertised the 26th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the last one attended by Leonid Brezhnev before his death in 1982. The congress began on February 23, 1981 and ended its week-long session by re-electing the existing leadership, 22 members with an average age of 67, as Brezhnev did not want to make the same oversight his predecessor, Khrushchev, did by placing a more youthful opponent in a position of power. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as light edge wear, small creases, or minor tears. This poster comes in three panels as originally printed.
