Rashomon (Daiei, R-1960s). Italian 2 - Fogli (39" X 55").One of the most significant films in the history of Japanese cinema, this was director Akira Kurosawa's tale of the vicious murder of a samurai by a roving bandit. The story is told largely in flashback by the differing testimonies of the witnesses and the victim himself, by way of a medium at the subsequent trial. This large format Italian poster is a first time offer from Heritage and it depicts the powerful presence of Mifune. The poster shows slight fold wear and separations, creases at the corners and outer folds, and light edge and fold toning. There is a sticker on the verso with no bleedthrough. Folded, Very Fine.
