Miracle in Milan (ENIC, 1951). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 77.75") Ercole Brini Artwork.
Offered only once before at Heritage is this rare country-of-origin poster for the Italian fantasy film Miracle in Milan. Artist Ercole Brini's artwork puts the film's magical dove in the center of attention as it is handed from Lolotta (Emma Gramatica) to Toto (Francesco Golisanoin) in this lovely poster for director Vittorio De Sica's tale of finding happiness among harsh conditions. Backed on linen, the poster shows light edge and fold wear, minor creases and fold separations, edge and fold toning, and small chips. Touchup has been applied to some of the issues. There is also a bit of faint ink stamp and writing bleedthrough on the left side of the image area near the flowing pink garment of Lolotta. There is also a snipe with producer's information near the bottom right corner of the poster.

    Estimate: $4,000 - $8,000.
