    Description

Hiroshima, Mon Amour (Cocinor, 1959). Very Fine- on Linen. Full-Bleed French Petite (15" X 23") Constantin Belinsky Artwork.
One of the most important films to come out of the French "Nouvelle Vague" movement, this is director Alain Resnais' complex examination of the importance of reconciling and coming to terms with the events of one's past, however horrible. The story, about an impromptu affair between a French woman (Emmanuelle Riva) trying to forget her experiences in Occupied France, and a Japanese man (Eiji Okada), coping with his memories of the atomic bomb explosion at Hiroshima and its horrifying after effects, is told through a series of flashback vignettes intercut with present day narrative. After touchup to pinholes, fold wear, and a small tear, this poster displays beautifully. Constantine Belinsky delivers impressive artwork for this Cannes Film Festival and Academy Award winner. Very Fine- on Linen.
