    Description

Enhver (Danmark Film, 1915). Danish Poster (55" X 77.25") AKA Everyman.
An avant-garde look at on old tale, this silent Danish drama updates an old English morality play from the late 16th century with a heavy dose of symbolic abstractionism. Rasmus Ottensen plays Envher (literally translated as "Everyman"), who leads a life of selfishness and greed until he faces divine judgment, and redemption, before his death. A rare piece from the early days of foreign cinema, this poster boasts a beautiful stone litho illustration in rich colors. It has slight edge wear, small tears, and mild foxing and toning in the borders and folds. There are noticeable fold separations, some of which have archival tape on the verso. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
