    Description

Force of Evil (Union Film, 1950). Very Fine- on Linen. Italian 4 - Fogli (55.5" X 77.5") Averardo Ciriello Artwork.
Abraham Polonsky, who wrote the script for John Garfield's hit Body and Soul, makes his directorial debut with this corruption drama. When lawyer Garfield goes to work for a gangster and numbers racket man, he slowly gets in over his head and comes to a moral dilemma when his older brother makes an enemy of the gangster. This very rare Italian 4-fogli is the work of artist Averardo Ciriello. Superb imagery and an exceptional find for film noir fans, this is considered by many to be the poster to have from this film! Backed with no touchup applied, this poster has slight edge wear, some pinholes, small tears, and a couple of minor nicks. There is mild writing bleedthrough in Garfield's credit and and some faint staining on the right side.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
