Description

    Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956). Insert (14" X 36").
Forbidden Planet has long been considered one of the classic science fiction films of the 1950s. With its incredible special effects, Eastman color production, and the invention of Robby the Robot, MGM knew they had a hit on their hands. And indeed, to this day, the posters for this title are requisite for any serious science fiction collection. The poster was rolled, however it did have several tears in the lower credits section and another longer horizontal tear running through Robby's feet. There was another tear on the right border that just touched the woman's head. The upper right corner was detached at one time and reattached. The yellow background of the credits has been airbrushed and there has been some airbrushing to the borders. Fine on Paper.
