    Description

Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956). Fine+ on Paper. Sik Screen Poster (40" X 60").
Robby the Robot holds lovely Anne Francis in his arms on one of the very best posters produced for this important sci-fi title. We just wish that more studios had opted for this style of screen printing. It produces a poster with a luster and brilliance of color that the normal printing process cannot duplicate. This is a very rare format for this seminal science fiction film starring Francis, Walter Pidgeon, and Leslie Nielsen. Backed on paper with partial touchup applied, this poster has some edge wear, creasing, surface scuffing and scratches, faint stains and smudges, and a few tears. There are small paper lifts around the Cinemascope logo and Robby's credit, which have both had their text airbrushed. The borders have been partially airbrushed as well.

    Estimate: $6,000 - $12,000.
