    Flash Gordon (Universal, 1936). Fine/Very Fine. Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
An incredibly rare title card for the feature version of the first Flash Gordon serial. Starring Buster Crabbe as Flash, Jean Rogers, and Charles Middleton as Ming the Merciless, it was based on the famed newspaper comic strip by Alex Raymond. After being released in thirteen installments, the studio condensed the action down to feature length, and produced new posters and cards. These rarely show up. Restoration has addressed corner chips in the bottom corners, torn pinholes in the top left corner, and several pinholes in the background. There is a faint bit of discoloration in the background on the top right. The borders have been airbrushed.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
