DescriptionFlash Gordon's Trip to Mars (Universal, 1938). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Chapter 15 -- "An Eye for an Eye."
Flash Gordon (Larry "Buster" Crabbe), Dr. Alexis Zarkov (Frank Shannon), and Dale Arden (Jean Rogers) return in Universal Pictures' second Flash Gordon serial. This was an even bigger production than the first, with better special effects, more extravagant sets, and a better story. A mysterious beam of light starts destroying the Earth's atmosphere, and Flash and friends spring into action to combat its effects. Of course they discover their old adversary, Ming the Merciless (Charles Middleton) is involved, operating this time from the planet Mars. A Heritage first, this action-filled one sheet for the final chapter has been touched up at the folds, a few pinholes and small tears in the borders, and mild chips at the edges. The borders have been airbrushed. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
