Humphrey Bogart is Sam Spade, Dashiell Hammett's private detective, in one of the greatest film noirs of all time. Every character is perfectly cast - from Mary Astor, to Sydney Greenstreet, to Peter Lorre, and on, to bring to the screen just about the most perfect adaptation of a detective novel ever filmed. Posters for this classic are always in high demand, and this example is in beautiful condition. There were pinholes in the corners, a small chip in the left border, and a small stamp above the title. Excellent restoration has addressed these issues and there has been touchup to the folds. Very Fine on Linen.
