The Maltese Falcon (Warner Brothers, 1941). Insert (14" X 36").
When told he had stayed very close to Dashiell Hammett's novel, director and screenwriter John Huston smiled and said: "well - as close as the Production Code would allow." This was one of Bogart's biggest critical and box office successes, and established Huston and himself on an even higher Hollywood rung. Never mind that the ever cost-vigilant Warner Brothers art department, used an image from High Sierra on the poster, this is a great poster, for a great film! There is fold wear in the bottom only, a small tear in the right border, and a light smudge in the lower right corner. Very Fine.
